Way back in the 1980s when I was just a wee Xennial, I had an older brother who was a big Metallica guy. So big that a decade later when AOL chat rooms were a thing, my older brother would find Metallica themed chat rooms, and type out lyrics to random Metallica songs like a complete badass. But back in the ‘80s I was a big Care Bears guy. Sharing a room with my older brother I was also becoming a bit of a Metallica guy. I say “a bit” because I want to be fair to die-hard Metallica fans. I’m very familiar with a lot of older Metallica, like “know the lyrics to most songs” familiar, but anything past the Black Album may as well be the Care Bear Cousins to me because…who that?
This Care Bears Shirt, this Metallica Kill ‘Em All Shirt is something I wanted to put together for me & my peers. Birthday Bear was my favorite Care Bear, but when you look at the iconic Kill ‘Em All puddle of blood and spy a heart, you might be thinking your favorite Care Bear is Tenderheart Bear. Or heck, it might just remind you of that cute little heart button on every Care Bear’s cute little bottom. I’ve also replaced the shadow of a hand drawing away from the hammer with a Care Bear paw. Otherwise at first glance this should look like the historic, iconic heavy metal album cover for Metallica’s classic 1983 album Kill ‘Em All.
